Weekly gatherings are held on Sundays,
beginning at 9:30AM. Please refer to the calendar to changes to the
schedule. The gatherings are a tradition in Buddhist Churches of America
churches and temples. The typical gathering is as follows:
- Ringing of the Bell (in Japanese,
Kansho) in traditional calling pattern to announce the beginning of
service

- Introductory remarks by chairperson
- Quiet sitting meditation and burning
of incence.
- Opening chanting lead by Sensei (one
