King Ajatasatru's life was marked by guilt, suffering, and inner conflict. Through a profound encounter with Shakyamuni Buddha, he began a journey of deep reflection and spiritual transformation. Drawing from the Nirvana Sutra and Shinran's Kyogyoshinsho, this presentation explores why Shinran highlighted this story and how awakening to boundless compassion naturally leads us to live for the benefit of others.
