About the Event
Vista Buddhist Temple's Buddhist Education Committee is excited to host this event, featuring an anime film that strives to make the life and teachings of Shinran Shonin approachable to all.
Shin Buddhism is a non-monastic tradition. The founder, Shinran Shonin (1173-1263), was one of the first monks in the Japanese Buddhist tradition to marry and raise a family, and called himself "neither monk nor lay person." Shin Buddhism is a family-friendly path that all ages can participate in together.
Language: Japanese - with English subtitles.
Run time: Approx 1hr, 50min.
We appreciate that our youngest sangha members may not yet be able to sit through the entire film; nevertheless, all are welcome.
